Brandon and Whitney Tanksley
Biography
Whitney Tanksley is an educator and author from Southeast Missouri. With a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Administration, she possesses a strong foundation in the field of education. Whitney's passion for writing led her to begin blogging in 2016, providing a platform to share her thoughts and experiences. Over the years, she has expanded her writing endeavors, engaging in freelance work that includes blogs, devotionals, and children's curriculum. Alongside her husband, Whitney is deeply committed to ministry. They share a passion for meeting individuals where they are in their spiritual journey and guiding them towards a deeper relationship with Christ. This commitment is further exemplified by their role as a Young Adults Leader at their local church. Beyond her professional and ministerial pursuits, Whitney is a devoted mother to three children. She finds joy in spending quality time with her family, particularly engaging in outdoor activities and embarking on adventures. Whitney's multifaceted life reflects her dedication to education, faith, family, and creative expression.
Ministry
Brandon and Whitney Tanksley started working as Youth Pastors in 2017. In 2020, we planted a second location for a church. In 2022, we felt God calling us back home. We started actively serving at Brandon's childhood church. A few months later, they became the Children's Pastors at one of their locations. Currently, Brandon and Whitney serve in Young Adults Pastors at their church. Whitney has had the privilege to work with different children's ministry departments at churches to help create meaningful, life changing experiences on Sunday mornings.
Biography
Brandon Tanksley is a passionate and dedicated ministry leader with over eight years of experience in serving the church in various capacities. He currently serves as the Young Adult Pastor at his home church, where he fosters spiritual growth and guidance to young adults in their faith journey. Brandon holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Science from Murray State University and a Master's in Christian Studies from Union University, blending his practical knowledge and deep theological insight to impact those he leads.
Brandon is blessed with a beautiful wife, Whitney, and together they are raising three children. His family is at the heart of his life, and he is committed to balancing ministry, family, and his personal passions. Outside of his pastoral role, Brandon enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it's hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping, which allows him to recharge and connect with God’s creation. With a heart for service, an unwavering faith, and a love for adventure, Brandon continues to inspire and lead those around him in their own journey with Christ.
